The title of this article caught my eye however it was different than what I expected. While it was different than expected I still enjoyed it and the overall message. The idea that the future is uncertain and that while we shouldn't be preparing the future generation with old methods and skills but rather with more updated skills and methods. We should also be promoting more creativity. Without creativity, the future generation won't be able to think outside the box and progress. In schools today, the arts are being cut from funding more and more. In all honesty, we should be promoting more of the arts as well as the normal STEM classes. Overall, the article makes a good point in regards to making sure the future generation is well educated but is also incredibly creative due to the amount of resources they will have.

  1. I agree with you Jasneet. Our education system needs to do a better job of promoting creativity, not just subjects within STEM. It is one thing to be well-rounded, but it is another thing to recognize the importance of cultivating imagination and creativity in the minds of young children, especially in this day and age. And as the article mentions, for a society that has developed so quickly technologically, we are doing a poor job of using education to teach students about other soft skills such as feeding imagination, curiosity, empathy and relationships. We need to start re evaluating what is really important, and where the focus should be redirected.
