Mastering the Fundamentals by Jonathan Z. White

In order to become a master design, there are certain fundamentals you need to follow.  The article lists them as: type, space, size, and color.  These principles relate heavily to the graphic design fundamentals of C.R.A.P. (contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity).  If you combine all of these together, you are able to create a design and bring it to the next level.
