A Process for Choosing Type by Jonathan Z. White

Typography is a very important aspect of web design.  HTML allows for basic text input - thankfully, CSS exists to help revamp the design of bland text.  Interestingly enough, there are certain fonts that are more appropriate based on certain demographics such as age.  Children are more receptive to legible fonts with generous amounts of space.  And seniors respond better to readable sizes, higher contrasting colors, and fonts void of script and decorative styles.  The main principles for choosing fonts are readability, legibility and purpose.  Essentially, font is an important design aspect of any web design.
